Certified yoga instructor Tracy Vranizan will lead you through a one hour class in which you will
learn to use the breath fully. In addition, you will learn standing poses for flexibility, strength, and stamina;
seated poses for a healthy back, poises, and reflection; forward bends for calming and nurturing the
body/mind; inverted poses for circulation and stress reduction; and breathing awareness and deep
relaxation for energy and renewal. This program omits the meditation and chanting sometimes associated
with yoga and focuses more on the physical benefits of yoga such as improving strength and
flexibility. Beginning students are welcome. Mats are provided and are available for sale in the
MAC pro-shop.
Note: College yoga is a college credit class for FVCC students, but open to MAC members.
